MAINTAINING YOUR SOFA

Maintaining a sofa properly can extend its lifespan and keep it looking fresh and clean. Here are some tips on how to maintain a sofa:

-Regular CleaningVacuuming: Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust and debris from the sofa's surface and crevices. Do this at least once a week or more often if you have pets.

-Spot Cleaning: For spills and stains, it's essential to act quickly:

-Blot the spill gently with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel to absorb as much liquid as possible.

-Avoid rubbing the stain, as it can spread or damage the fabric.

-Use a mild, upholstery-specific cleaner or a mixture of water and a small amount of mild detergent to clean the stain. Test it on an inconspicuous area first to ensure it won't damage the fabric.

-Always follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions if provided.

-Protection Plan: Consider purchasing the extended warranty known as a protection plan. This will give you peace of mind knowing that if any stains, spills or accidents happen- you have coverage. As us about adding an extended warranty to your order.

-Rotate and Fluff Cushions: To ensure even wear and tear, rotate and flip the cushions regularly. This will help maintain their shape and prevent one side from getting more worn than the other. Fluff and reshape the cushions to keep them looking plump and comfortable.

-Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can fade and damage upholstery. Keep your sofa away from direct sunlight or use window treatments to block UV rays.

-Pets: If you have pets, cover your sofa with a pet-friendly throw or blanket to protect it from fur, scratches, and odors. Use a lint roller or pet hair remover to keep pet hair in check and definitely add the protection plan!

Regular Maintenance: Check for loose threads, buttons, or any other potential issues, and address them promptly to prevent further damage.

Professional Cleaning: Depending on the fabric and how much use the sofa gets, it's a good idea to have it professionally cleaned every 1-2 years.

-Read the Manufacturer's Instructions: Always follow the manufacturer's care and maintenance instructions, as they may have specific recommendations for your sofa's fabric and construction.
